Our founder, Andréa Coutu, MBA, has pursued additional training in psychological first aid, trauma-informed practice, Indigenous cultural safety and collaborative problem-solving. She also has experience with developing supports for career, mental health, health, social services and education programs, including for students, immigrants, refugees, persons with disabilities, vulnerable populations, LGTBQ+ and Indigenous people. She has worked with persons who have been socially and economically displaced as well as with heads of banks, Fortune 500 executives, and a range of other people. In addition to 25 years in business consulting, Andréa has also worked in student mental health and student services program, a YMCA youth entrepreneur program, a Downtown Eastside Food Rescue, a university athletics department and with a range of non-profit programs, including Youth Employment Skills Canada-BC, the Greater Vancouver Venture Centre for Youth, crisis centres and more. She also has significant lived experience and feels this can help her support other people facing obstacles with a unique blend of empathy and business experience.
We are thrilled to be part of Canada’s essential COVID-19 response and to be supporting such important services for entrepreneurs.
